Israel Hamas War Media Coverage: Amid the Israel-Hamas war, media coverage around the world has been on developments related to it. There has been extensive coverage of Hamas and Israel in the media of America, Britain, Palestine and Israel.

Meanwhile, questions started being raised about the coverage of British media organization BBC News. The BBC was accused of covering the Israel-Hamas war in a ‘biased’ manner. The National Jewish Assembly of Britain (NJA) is an organization that advocates and defends Jewish life. The organization has accused BBC of calling terrorists militants or extremists. NJA wrote in a tweet, “Stop it BBC, call Hamas what it is…terrorists.”

NJA writes, “BBC has been continuously making excuses regarding Israel, but enough is enough, call Hamas terrorists.”

British news channel GB News conducted a debate regarding the allegations against BBC, in which some questions were asked to former BBC political correspondent John Sargent. The President of the National Jewish Assembly of Britain was also involved in this program.

In the debate, John Sargent was asked why the BBC was avoiding calling Hamas terrorists terrorists in the Israel-Hamal war? John Sargent said, “People (in terms of the media) don’t understand what they are doing. They think this is normal. If the US government calls Hamas terrorists, then everyone is calling them terrorists. But the BBC operation, the news operation, does not work like a government. I don’t know why people don’t follow it. If you are involved in this struggle you will not understand this. “Maybe the people of Hamas are terrorists.”

Meanwhile, the host of the program interrupted Sargent and asked, “Don’t you think this happened because they slit the throat of a child?” John Sargent says, “If you ask me what I think about it, I will say that this is an act of terrorism. It is absolutely clear. Ask me if I say this as a BBC correspondent and the situation will change.”

He said, “The BBC has no agenda. The BBC is not trying to decide who has done good or bad in the Middle East and then tell people what they should think.”

BBC gave the reason?

Actually BBC writes any terrorist organization and terrorist as extremist. BBC has published a news with the title ‘Why BBC does not call Hamas terrorists ‘terrorists”. This news has been written by World Affairs editor John Simpson.

Through this news, John Simpson explains that this is done because of the founding principles of the BBC. He writes, “Terrorism is a heavy-handed word that people use to describe an organization they morally reject. It is not the BBC’s job to tell people who to support and whom to condemn, “Who are the good people and who are the bad people?”

John Simpson writes, “We regularly point out that the British or many governments have condemned Hamas as a terrorist organisation, but that is their job. We also run interviews with people who call Hamas terrorists. The most important thing is that we do not say it in our own voice. Our business is to present the facts to our audiences, and let them make up their own minds.”

He wrote, Many people have seen our reporting who target us for avoiding the use of the word terrorist. We are not hiding any truth from anyone.
