The Nobel Committee has acknowledged that Narges Mohammadi has raised her voice for women’s freedom and their rights. She has fought for a long time against the oppression of women in Iran.

Who is Iran’s Narges Mohammadi?

Narges was born on 21 April 1972 in Zanjan city of Kurdistan, Iran. According to the Nobel Prize website, Nargess Mohammadi is an Iranian human rights activist and vice president of the Defender of Human Rights Center (DHRC).

Nargess Mohammadi, who raised her voice for women’s freedom and rights in Iran, had to pay a heavy personal price for her brave struggle. He has been arrested 13 times in Iran so far, currently he is in jail. He has been convicted five times and has been sentenced to 31 years in prison and 154 lashes.

Narges did not meet her children for 8 years

Iran has arrested him on charges of spreading propaganda against the government. Narges has told in an interview that she has not met many of her family members for a long time.

The surprising thing is that he has not even seen his children for 8 years. He last heard the voices of his twin daughters Ali and Kiana a year ago. Both of Narges’ daughters live in France with her husband Taagi Rahmani.

Narges’s husband Tagi is also a political activist. Who was sentenced to 14 years in prison by the Government of Iran. Let us tell you that Nargess Mohammadi has also been a lawyer and advocate for abolishing the death penalty in Iran and protecting the rights of prisoners.
