Asian Games Controversy: During the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, an incident took place which is being discussed all over the world. Usually, when a player wins in the Asian Games, his picture and news are widely published in that country, but the opposite happened in China. Actually, China censored the pictures of two of its players who won the Asian Games. Since then it is being discussed in the media all over the world.

The reason China is giving behind this is not acceptable to the people. Here we will tell you what is there in the picture of both the players taken after the victory, due to which Dragon had to take such a strict step.

What is the reason behind photo censoring?
According to the report of South China Morning Post, Lin Yuwei from Lane 6 and Wu Yanni from Lane 4 hugged each other after completing the 100 meter women’s hurdles. During this time, when both of them stood together, the stickers showing their lane numbers “6 and 4” came together. This was seen as a reference to June 4, 1989. In fact, the Tiananmen massacre took place on June 4, 1989, and the Chinese government keeps a close watch on it and displaying such numbers is not allowed in the country.

Prohibition on sharing content related to this incident
The Chinese government keeps removing every fact related to this incident from the internet. Sharing any content related to this on social media is also prohibited. In China, when the numbers 6,4 and 89 appear together, they are censored. Something similar happened in this picture also. At present this picture has been removed from Weibo and other social media platforms.

Because of this the movement started
In the history of China, the day of June 4, 1989 is known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre. After the economic and social changes in China in the 1980s, the restlessness among the Chinese people increased a lot. Only a few people benefited from these economic reforms implemented in China and most suffered serious losses.

Apart from this, due to many other reasons, anger started growing among the people of China against the single party system there. The result was that people and especially students came out to protest for constitutional reform, democracy, freedom of press and freedom of expression.

10 thousand people died in the massacre
On June 3, 1989, a day before the massacre, soldiers asked the students to disperse, after which stone pelting took place. After this, it was decided to take military action in the evening and the operation was started at 9 pm. The army planned to begin the crackdown on Tiananmen Square at 1 a.m. and clear the entire square by 6 a.m.

For this, the army started aerial firing after 10 pm on 3rd June. By 12 o’clock, clashes broke out between the army and the protesters at different places. The first aerial fire took place at the square at 12:15 pm and at 1:30 the army contingent started firing on the square from the other side. After this the Chinese army became aggressive. The army even attacked the protesters with tanks. About 10 thousand people were killed in this incident.
