Relations between Nepal and India are improving
On the other hand, relations between India and Nepal are getting better than before. Work is going on rapidly on many Indian projects inside Nepal. Let us tell you that Nepal has received a total economic assistance of 63 billion dollars from India. According to ET report, Nepal’s PM got assurance of funding for only 12 projects during his last visit to China.
Work going on rapidly on Indian project
India had started many projects in the year 2018. Most of these have been completed. Be it border check posts or projects related to health facilities, India has achieved success in all. India will soon link Nepal by road-rail also. India had given 1.65 billion dollars to Nepal for 22 projects.

China’s BRI project has not started yet
Now talking about China, the situation of Chinese projects in Nepal is not good. Work on Chinese President Xi Jinping’s dream project Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has not yet started here, although an agreement regarding this was signed between the two countries in 2017 itself. Nepal’s Foreign Minister has also said that work on BRI could not be started. China is continuously putting pressure on Nepal for this project, but till now the reason for not starting it is not known.
