IHIT spokesperson Sergeant Timothy Pierotti told PTI on Thursday (September 28) that we are aware of the reports being made regarding the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

According to PTI report, IHIT spokesperson said that I am unable to say anything on the specific evidence collected by IHIT. Let us tell you that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged that the Indian government was behind the murder of Nijjar on June 18. However, India rejected the allegations as absurd and politically motivated.

Nijjar used to meet the police

IHIT spokesman Sergeant Timothy Pierotti told local weekly newspaper Surrey Now-Leader that police had completed an extensive investigation of the area based on the evidence. All video footage is being collected.

Nijjar’s son Balraj Nijjar told the local daily that his father had meetings with Canadian Security Intelligence Service officers once or twice a week, including a meeting a day or two before the June 18 murder and two Another meeting was to be held a day later.

Investigation on the statement of Washington Post newspaper

Nijjar, the chief of Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), an organization banned by India, was murdered in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18. India had declared Nijjar a terrorist in 2020. Nijjar was murdered in the parking lot of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey, British Columbia. Now an investigation has been started on how the Washington Post newspaper saw the security camera footage related to the murder that took place in June.

Canada’s national news agency The Canadian Press quoted Gurdwara spokesperson Gurkirat Singh as saying, “We have been told by the temple that the video is not for the media or the public because it is part of an ongoing investigation. will also not be released.”

However, Singh said that he has watched the video several times. He said that this (murder) was not done without thinking. For this, Hardeep Singh’s activities were being monitored. They knew which way Nijjar went and how he came out of the Gurudwara.
