Challenges In Gaza Strip For Israeli Defense Forces: A fierce war has been going on for the last 9 days after the attack (October 7) by the Palestinian extremist militant organization Hamas on the Middle East country Israel. Since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration of war, the Israeli Defense Forces have continued fierce attacks on the Gaza Strip through water, land and air. Netanyahu announced that the Gaza Strip will be completely captured. However, 9 days have passed since the Hamas attack on October 7 till today (October 15), but the war is not ending.
The area of Gaza Strip is very small, the attackers have shelter amidst dense population.
Actually, even though Gaza Strip is a small area, capturing it is not easy even for the Israeli forces equipped with the world’s most hi-tech weapons. The reason for this is that in this small area of just 6 kilometers wide and about 45 kilometers long, Hamas has laid a trap of death at every step.
According to reports, 11 lakh Palestinians live in the area of Gaza Strip where the Israeli Defense Force is intent on capturing. These include 30 thousand Hamas fighters, who are willing to die. On the other hand, Israel has planned a final attack on Gaza by inducting its three lakh reserve soldiers into the army from Monday.
The huge difference in the number of troops between the two definitely goes in favor of Israel, but after this attack on Gaza Strip, a series of pressure on Israel will also start from all over the world.
Gaza Strip is a network of tunnels
Apart from this, Hamas, which entered and attacked Israel, was well aware of the strength of the Israeli Defense Forces and was anticipating a retaliatory attack. Therefore, preparations have been made for rescue in advance. There is a network of tunnels spread throughout the Gaza Strip, in which Hamas fighters are hiding to escape Israeli bombardment. On the other hand, if the Israeli army enters the Gaza Strip with tanks and other vehicles, then Hamas fighters will also attack from these tunnels, and it will be a big challenge to enter inside and kill them.
If reports are to be believed, many tunnels are up to 70 meters deep. Apart from this, the entire area of Gaza is the most densely populated area in the world, which has a large number of civilians. The Hamas fighters hiding among them will get more help in carrying out ambush attacks against the Israeli forces.
It is not easy to conquer Gaza Strip
Although Israel has asked the people living here to leave the Gaza Strip, it is not easy for such a large number of people to enter other countries so quickly. Meanwhile, if the Israeli army enters the Gaza Strip and directly attacks the Hamas fighters, it will cause huge collateral damage, due to which it may have to face pressure from all over the world.
Besides, Hamas fighters might have hidden ammunition and other deadly weapons among the network of tunnels which they can secretly use against Israeli forces. Therefore, it is not very easy to implement Israel’s ambitious plan to conquer the Gaza Strip.
Israeli army surrounded the entire Gaza Strip
Let us tell you that the Israeli Defense Forces has claimed that it has blocked the entire area of Gaza Strip from all sides and is preparing for an operation to completely destroy the Hamas network. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met military officers and personnel and encouraged them and said that they should be ready for the next operation.
