Joe Biden Talks With Palestine Leader: Amid the Israel-Hamas war, the White House has said that US President Joe Biden has spoken on phone with the leaders of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. “President Biden discussed at length U.S. efforts to work collaboratively with both sides to prevent an escalation of the war,” the White House said in a statement.

The White House said, “The two leaders discussed the need to maintain stability in the West Bank and throughout the region. Biden emphasized US coordination with the United Nations and regional countries on humanitarian assistance to civilians.”

The statement said that President Biden has supported all efforts to protect civilians on behalf of America. US President Joe Biden called the leaders of Israel and the Palestinian Authority after Israel warned to evacuate the northern Gaza area.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issued a statement thanking the US President for his support to Israel. Netanyahu’s office said “unity and determination” are needed to achieve Israel’s war goals against Hamas fighters in Gaza.

The office of Mohammed Abbas of the Palestinian Authority said that the Palestinian leader told Biden that he completely rejects the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, because Israel is responding to Hamas’s deadly attack on its territory.

News agency Reuters, quoting figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry, has said that about 300 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours. The Health Ministry said that the dead included women and children.
