Israel Hamas War: Israel has expressed ‘deep disappointment’ over China’s lack of clear criticism on the attacks being carried out by Hamas. In his talks with the Chinese government’s special envoy for the Middle East issue, Israeli Ambassador Raffi Harpaz said Israel is deeply disappointed by China’s statements and media reports on the latest developments in southern Israel.
The Israeli ambassador said, “There was no clear condemnation (from China) of the terrorist attacks and massacres carried out by the terrorist organization Hamas against innocent civilians, as well as the abduction of dozens of people in the Gaza Strip. Nor did Israel There was no mention of the country’s right to defend itself and its citizens.”
Israeli Ambassador Rafi Harpaz justified the attacks by Israel, saying, “The right to defend any sovereign state in the face of an unprecedented and unbearable brutal attack on human society is a fundamental right.”
What did China say about the Hamas-Israel war?
China’s Foreign Ministry gave a statement this week regarding the Israel-Hamas war. China had said in its statement that the country is deeply concerned about the spread of tension and violence between Palestine and Israel. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said, ‘We call on relevant parties to remain calm, exercise restraint and immediately end mutual hostility to protect civilians and prevent the situation from worsening.’
The Chinese Foreign Ministry statement stressed that “the fundamental way to end the conflict lies in implementing the two-state solution and establishing an independent State of Palestine.” China urged the international community to address this matter with greater urgency. Advocating finding a way to settle and bring lasting peace, Israel said, ‘China’s statements do not correspond to recent events and tragedies, the level of their statements does not match the devastation.’
