Arab-Israel Deal On Hold: After the attack by Palestinian extremist group Hamas on Israel, Israeli military forces have continued a fierce counterattack on the Gaza Strip for the last 7 days. Amidst the vocal voices of Muslim countries protesting against this across the world, the US plan to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel seems to be on hold. Efforts to normalize relations between the two may now be put on hold.

These efforts have also suffered a setback because Arab Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has rejected the US request to condemn the Hamas attack. Not only this, Salman also spoke for the first time on phone to Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi, a staunch opponent of America and Israel.

Sources said that there is a possibility of violence spreading across the region due to the anger generated among the people of the Arab world due to Israeli action. Islam is considered to have originated from Arabia and the two most sacred places of worship of the Muslim community around the world are located here. Therefore, Arabs are not able to ignore the Islamic sentiments related to Israel’s actions.

Arabs will raise the issue of Palestinian rights prominently with Israel

Sources of news agency Reuters have said that for the time being efforts to normalize relations between Israel and Arab countries have been stopped. Not only this, when peace is restored, Arabs will talk about the rights of Palestine prominently with Israel. Regarding America’s effort to get a normal defense deal between Arab and Israeli relations, two sources associated with Reuters have confirmed this and said that now this deal will be completely stopped.

Saudi analyst Aziz Alghashian said, “Efforts to normalize relations between Arabs and Israelis were already considered difficult. Now after this war, it may come to an almost complete halt.”

What is America’s stance?

Although US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told a White House briefing this week that normalization efforts between the two countries are “not on hold”, the focus is currently on confronting other challenges.

Asked about Raisi’s call with the crown prince, a senior US State Department official said Washington is in “constant contact with Saudi leaders”. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also talked to his Saudi counterpart several times in this regard.

,Until a major decision is taken in favor of the Palestinians…’

Experts believe that unless a major decision is taken in favor of the Palestinians, it will not be possible for Saudi Arabia to move ahead with America’s plan. Due to Israel’s tough stance, Saudi Arabia is now forced to give priority to the Palestine movement. The movement for an independent Palestinian state, which has been going on for the last 70 years, had weakened in recent years due to declining support from Arab countries.

Hamas attack to spoil Israel-Arab relations

American experts claim that if relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel were normalized, the Palestinians’ dream of their own country would have ended forever, therefore, to stop this agreement, Hamas carried out a major attack on Israel on October 7.

Let us tell you that Palestine does not consider Israel as a nation and also rejects the recognition of the nation given to it by the United Nations. Arabs are also on its path and even Arabs have not accepted the existence of Israel. Meanwhile, Palestine was going to suffer the most from American efforts to normalize Israel-Arab relations. However, now that America’s efforts have stopped, the situation in the Middle East may worsen.
