At least 320 people have been killed by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in western Afghanistan. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake’s epicenter was 24.8 miles (40 km) northwest of Herat, Afghanistan’s largest city, and was followed by a magnitude 5.5 aftershock.
