Putin praises PM Modi’s leadership: Russian President Vladimir Putin has called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi a ‘very intelligent person’. Also said that India has made a lot of progress under the leadership of PM Modi. In a video shared by Russian media RT News, Putin mentioned India in a program.
According to news agency ANI, Putin said, “We have very good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He is an intelligent person and the pace of development in India is going well under his leadership.”
Putin has already praised India and PM
Earlier, Vladimir Putin had praised India for Make in India. Speaking at the 8th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Putin had said that Russia can learn from India’s success in promoting domestic industries. Putin had said at the EEF, ‘In the 1990s we did not have domestically made cars, but now we have them. I think we should emulate many of our partners, for example India. They are focusing on cars made in India. I think Prime Minister Modi is doing the right thing in promoting the Make in India programme. he is right.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin’s statements came when India had agreed with all the member countries on the New Delhi Leaders Declaration in G-20. The declaration did not mention the war going on between Russia and Ukraine in a very direct manner and the war was described as a war in Ukraine. Whereas during the G20 Bali Summit, the war between Ukraine and Russia was written.
The New Delhi Leaders Declaration presented by India was appreciated by the Russian government. The Russian government had described it as a milestone.
