Spacenauts Returned Home: Astronauts of NASA and Roscosmos have returned to Earth after spending a year in space. According to NASA, on Wednesday astronaut Frank Rubio and his companions returned to Earth after spending 371 days in space. Roscosmos astronauts Dmitry Petelin and Sergei Prokoyev have also come with him.
Frank Rubio flew into space with Dmitry Petelin and Sergei Prokoyev on September 21, 2022 and stayed at the International Space Station located in low Earth orbit.
During this mission, the trio of astronauts made 5936 revolutions around the Earth and traveled about 157 million miles. For example, it can be understood that astronauts have traveled to the Moon equivalent to 328 trips back and forth.
Why did you go to space?
Frank Rubio and his partner stayed on the International Space Station for almost a year to experience the effects of living in space for a long time. According to NASA, this mission will benefit future missions, for example, it will benefit human missions to the Moon and Mars. Astronauts do research in the space station for a maximum of 125 hours every week. More than 2000 researches have been done so far in 2 decades.
