US On Israel Palestine Attack: Congressional lawmakers in the United States have introduced a resolution urging “immediate de-escalation and ceasefire between Israel and occupied Palestine.” On Monday, more than a dozen Democratic members, including Corey Bush, Rashida Tlaib, Summer Lee, Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar, raised the issue of a ceasefire along with reducing tensions in Gaza.

“All human life is precious, and targeting civilians, regardless of their faith or ethnicity, is a violation of international humanitarian law,” the resolution said, Al Jazeera reported. Despite overwhelming support for Israel in Congress, Bush told reporters during an online briefing that the resolution was a necessary step to unify Americans.

Hamas attacked Israel

It is noteworthy that on October 7, Hamas fighters suddenly attacked Israel from Gaza. Hamas launched about 5000 rockets simultaneously. In which hundreds of people were killed. In such a situation, many countries around the world are appealing for ceasefire.

Progressive legislators and advocates on Monday stressed that the US has the power to exert pressure to end the fighting. Bush said that “thousands, if not millions, of lives are hanging in the balance. And not only is it happening right before our eyes, but it’s happening with the support and power of the United States government, and it’s shameful.”

On the other hand, America is standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel. In this series, US President Joe Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday. Foreign Minister Antony Blinken has announced the President’s visit. The visit was announced from the US Embassy in Jerusalem after a seven-hour meeting between top US diplomat Antony Blinken and Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday.

Joe Biden will go to Israel

According to the Foreign Minister, Biden “will also learn from Israel how it will conduct its operations, which will reduce the number of civilian casualties and allow aid to reach Palestinian civilians in Gaza. After Israel, Joe Biden will go to Jordan. There He will meet Jordan’s King Abdullah, Egypt’s President al-Sisi and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
