Israel Hamas War: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has informed that US President Joe Biden will visit Israel on Wednesday (October 18). After lengthy talks with Netanyahu, Blinken said Biden would reaffirm solidarity with Israel, which is widely expected to lead a ground offensive in Gaza.
On Wednesday, I’ll travel to Israel to stand in solidarity in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack.
I’ll then travel to Jordan to address dire humanitarian needs, meet with leaders, and make clear that Hamas does not stand for Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Siren sounded during the meeting
After hours of talks with Israel’s War Cabinet in Tel Aviv, Blinken told the media, “Biden will make clear that Israel has the right to defend its people from Hamas and other terrorists and to prevent future attacks.”
During the conversation with the War Cabinet, sirens warning of rocket attacks started sounding in the area. After this, Antony Blinken had to take shelter in the bunker for 5 minutes.
He said that Israel will brief Biden about its war goals and strategy and will also explain how it will conduct such operations that minimize civilian casualties. Referring to Hamas, the US Secretary of State said, “Humanitarian aid can be delivered to civilians in Gaza in a way that does not benefit Hamas.”
Blinken said that the US and Israel have agreed to develop a plan that will help deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.
