Israel Hamas War: After the terrorist attack by Hamas, Israel’s military action continues against Hamas targets. Last week on Saturday (7 October 2023), more than 700 Israeli citizens died in this attack. The New York Times has released a shocking report regarding this attack in which it has been claimed that America’s intelligence agency had warned Israel about such possible attacks.
According to this report, the CIA had warned Israel about a possible rocket attack from Hamas just before the terrorist attack by Hamas. The CIA had said that Hamas could launch a rocket attack on Israel. However, even the CIA was not aware of the ground attack and paraglider attack. Nor did he share any information about this with Israel.
CIA had said – attacks will be done with rockets
On the condition of anonymity, a CIA official told The New York Times, even though we had sent a report about the attack on behalf of Palestine or Hamas, we did not share it with the President or senior officials. The reason for this was that it was a routine intelligence report and there was no point in it that would have caught our ears. Therefore, we did not pursue the matter further and followed the routine procedure.
Another military officer said, this report is common for us because something or the other happens there even on normal days, hence both the agencies did not take this warning seriously.
3200 people died in Israel-Hamas war
So far, a total of 3200 people from both the countries have died in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. A total of 9,196 people from both the countries have been injured. While 1496 people have died in Israel, 1900 people have died in Gaza Strip. At the same time, a total of 49 people have died in the West Bank and more than 700 people have been injured.
