India Permanent UNSC Seat: India has been demanding permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council for a long time. America, China, France, Britain and Russia have been supporting India on this demand. President of the United Nations General Assembly, Dennis Francis, has spoken to news agency ANI regarding India’s demand. He said, “Becoming a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council is full of responsibilities. The responsibilities of a permanent member are not beyond the capabilities of the Government of India.”
He said, “First of all, I want to congratulate India that it has the ambition to become a permanent member of the United Nations, but with it comes a lot of responsibilities, which I can say is within the capabilities of the Indian government. .”
