A spokesman for the Hamas terrorist group claimed on Sunday that Hamas fighters have taken more than 100 Israeli civilians hostage in Gaza, including high-ranking military officers. Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer said that American citizens are among those imprisoned by Hamas. However, Ron Dermer did not say who among the captured Americans was killed.

America will help Israel
According to the Washington Post, America will provide weapons and essential goods to help Israel in its recently declared war against Hamas. For this, America will send an aircraft carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean.
