Israel-Palestine: The Middle East was returning towards peace in the last few months, but then Hamas attacked Israel. This attack has once again created turmoil in the Middle East. The factionalism which seemed to be ending has now become stronger again. After the attack by Hamas, all the Arab countries have unanimously condemned Israel. Almost all the Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, UAE were seen together.

Actually, it is being said about this attack that it has been carried out as a very well thought out move. In recent times, relations between Arab countries and Israel were normalizing. If this were the case, then there would be no one left to raise voice for Palestine. On top of that, Iran also faced losses if this happened, because it would have been isolated in the Gulf. This is the reason why Iran was among the first countries to raise its voice in support of Hamas after its attack.

Attack due to US-Saudi Arabia defense agreement!

According to Reuters report, America is engaged in normalizing relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel. In return, Saudi Arabia would have got a chance to sign a defense agreement with America. If this happens, the doors of reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran would also be closed, because Tehran has been against Washington. In August itself, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdullahyan.

If Saudi Arabia gets closer to Israel, it could derail its improving relations with Iran. At the same time, the issue of Palestine would also be left on the back burner. Iran has been a staunch supporter of Palestine. Similar is the condition of other Arab countries also. But Hamas and Palestinian extremist groups do not want to let this happen under any circumstances. It is believed that due to this, Hamas targeted Israel, so that the voice for Palestine could be raised again.

Arab countries cannot ignore Palestine

The attack by Hamas has made one thing clear that if Israel needs security in the Middle East, then Palestine cannot be ignored. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyah also said that whatever peace agreements the Arab countries have made with Israel will not end this conflict. A source associated with Hezbollah said that through this attack a message has also been given to Saudi Arabia, it cannot forget Palestine.
