Canada India Tension: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s love for Khalistani has once again come to the fore. His close aide and Liberal Party MP Sukhminder alias Sukh Singh Dhaliwal was seen at Surrey Gurudwara on Sunday (October 1). This is the same Gurudwara which is the diplomatic center of tension between India and Canada. Separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was murdered outside this Gurudwara on June 18, 2023. He was also its president.

According to a News 18 report, Sukh Singh Dhaliwal had visited the Gurudwara to seek support from Sikhs who had come from Canada and other parts of North America for the pro-Khalistan rally on Sunday. Speaking to News18, Dhaliwal had said that Trudeau has credible information and evidence that India has a hand in Nijjar’s murder.

Dhaliwal reiterated PM Trudeau’s words

Thaliwal further said, I can definitely say that when Prime Minister Trudeau makes a statement, he is very credible. He doesn’t do this without any evidence. I’m glad someone can speak for Canada. At the same time, despite New Delhi’s insistence after alleging India’s involvement in Nijjar’s murder, the Canadian government has not yet provided any evidence. When asked whether the Canadian police has filed any FIR or any suspects in this case. Dhaliwal said, “Only time will tell. At this point I can say that the PM was briefed, and he spoke. This is real leadership. The justice system in Canada is very fair. He has such reliable information which has forced the PM to say this.”

Delayed on the matter of meeting Nijjar

Dhaliwal has confirmed his meeting with Nijjar in 2019 when a Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against him. Dhaliwal remained coy on whether he, as an MP, had alerted government officials about Nijjar when he was designated a terrorist by India in 2020.

Last month, Canada’s PM had accused India

Let us tell you that on September 11, 2023, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had given a statement in the Canadian Parliament that evidence has been found of India’s involvement in the murder of separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Shortly after this statement, he expelled a senior diplomat of India. In response, India also expelled a Canadian diplomat from here. Since then, relations between the two countries have remained bitter.
